Through a combination of partnership working, volunteer engagement and a keen understanding of resident need, we will provide new impetus for the Centre and demonstrate that it can once again be run as a sustainable community resource of great value.
The Bushmead Community Hub Steering Group meets once a month for two hours to discuss the running of the centre, its future and activities that it runs itself.
It currently has around 20 members including ward councillors.
It is open to anyone who wishes to come along and be involved in organising and running the HUB and some of its activities.
I use the centre on a weekly basis for my boxfit classes, which are an essential part of keeping fit for me. We also hired the centre for my Daughter’s wedding a few years ago, it is easily accessible with lots of parking for our guests out the front. She had a great day and when my son gets married next year we hope to hire the centre again
